Dark Souls 3 Early Large Titanite Shard Farming
Hello everybody! I'm a total Dark Souls noob though I've been talking about the journey over on the Arstechnica GESC forums. I just finished the second boss of the game the other day & really felt the area behind him was prime for farming. I did the grind for a bit while watching Twitch & thought the levels were just pouring in. I've not had a chance to return to the game until tonight, at which I did a ten minute test run while recording.
My sorcerer pulled in just over 20,000 souls per ten minutes, or 120,000 an hour. Now I want to make sure everybody here knows I'm a total noob, I'm sure I've done about a thousand things in that video that will drive you all crazy. I apologize in advance. I also don't really know if 120K an hour is good or not, as I've never played past the end of the second level. (well technically, I watched the transition from the second to third areas so the first bonfire of the new area is in my travel list as you can see in the video)
Anyways, I'm overly strong for the area now. It didn't take anywhere close to this level to beat the boss or anything, I just really love power leveling. Years of Korean MMORPGs has turned me into one of those people. So the moment I felt that itch to turn around and explore the area for a grind loop was the last moment I actually progressed in the game. LOL!
