Dds Plugin Photoshop PortableFree download plugin photoshop cs

So I am learning how to create CC clothing for TS3. I am using a program called CTU, and to edit textures for clothing, I need a.dds plug in. I have installed the plug in in both folders (I have a 64-bit, Windows 7) When I try and open my.dds file in PS, a message pops up, saying 'Could not complete your request because it is not the right type of document." I have tried everything to. Plugin Dds Para Photoshop Cs6 Portable

I thought I'd post this (I didn't see a post about this on the forum though I didn't really look for it either), because it is hard to find good info on the net about it. Also I haven't read about someone who succeeded in doing this for PS CS5.
Nvidia doesn't support the DDS plug-in and Normal map filter for Photoshop versions after CS3, but it is possible to add them to Photoshop CS4 and CS5 (I have the CS5 version and succeeded to add both options). I don't know if it also works for the Extended versions, but I think it works the same way.
I would also like to add that you do this at your own risk, but it is not likely to go wrong (though these are assumptions).
Tutorial
Step 1
You will need to download a trial version of Photoshop CS2/CS3, or you already need to have a full version at your disposal. It also works on a trial version that has expired (it worked for me).
Step 2
You will have to download the plugin and filter, they're both included in the same download so when you install the download it will install both files.

Step 3
Install the downloaded file (with a simple double click on the file), for me the installer found the expired CS2 trial version by itself.
Step 4
Go to 'Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS2 (or CS3)Plug-insFile Formats' and look for a file called dds, right click on the file and choose copy.
Step 5
Go to 'Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS4 (or CS5)Plug-insFile Formats' and right click inside the folder and choose paste.
Step 6
Go to 'Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS2 (or CS3)Plug-insFilters' and look for a file called NormalMapFilter, right click on the file and choose copy.
Step 7
Go to 'Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS4 (or CS5)Plug-insFilters' and right click inside the folder and choose paste.

That's it, the plug-ins should be working. You should be able to safe files as DDS files and the Nvidia filter should be found under FilterNvidia toolsNormal map filter in the top of the window.
I've also read a thread from Marcel about problems with the 64bit versions/Windows7 and I'm not sure how this effects the story above since I don't have enough experience/knowledge on this matter. Read the thread here.
