Daniel Zana Modder has released a mod for Fallout 4 called Immersive Movement. This mod changes the animation of the movements of the player, NPCs and creatures, making it much more plausible and natural from a physical point of view. If you play Fallout 4 on PC, this mod is highly recommended to set. Fallout 4 VR is headed to HTC Vive users on Steam sometime in Q4 2017, and is currently available for pre-order for $59.99. Bethesda says they’re planning on bringing their VR games to “as.

I have been playing VR since the early days of the DK2. I absolutely loved Alien Isolation in VR, and it has remained one of my all time favorite experiences in regard to gaming, despite the fact that I had to use gamepad locomotion.

I also played through the HL2 games in VR and they were amazing as well. I even played through Dying Light in VR, which I thought was incredibly immersive (though, yes, I could have done without the locked perspective cut-scenes).

So now it is a different era, a Vive and an Oculus Touch era, I never really imagined back when I played Alien Isolation that gamepad locomotion would be a huge problem, but I suppose it bothers a lot of people, and now that I have used room-scale since April, I am not at all keen on it as a solution.

So here we are. We are in need of solutions for good locomotion for games that take place in areas larger than a small square.

I have played many different locomotion styles since April, and I must say that my favorite by a large margin, and certainly my favorite for a game like Fallout 4 VR would be a slowish dash. Something akin to the dash in Vive portal.

That seems like it would offer the ability to more or less strafe around, shoot and still around within an area. However it wouldn't be as off putting as a super-fast dash or teleport, which would constantly pull me out of the world.

Now that said, I think the best bet would be to offer a solution that is an adjustable dash. Something that could be adjusted all the way up to something that is basically just a teleport, or down to something that is barely more than two or three times that of a run speed.

Having toyed with movement and shooting at various dash speeds with a simple POC, it seems like it would offer almost everyone a great experience at some setting within that range.

Modder ‘Zana Daniel’ has released an incredible mod for Fallout 4, called Immersive Movement. As its title suggests, this mod changes the movements of the player, NPCs, and all creatures in such a way that would actually make sense from a biological and physical perspective. And it’s a must-have mod for everyone playing Bethesda’s RPG.

This mod is for all those seeking realistic movement in their games. Immersive Movement makes movement feel more natural and suspenseful through interiors, while combat will be much more tactical due to the realistic pace that is set.

Going into more details, players will move slower. Your mobility will also be affected by the type of weapon you’re holding. Sneaking will be slower, as well as strafing, and aiming down the sight will of course significantly slow you down while on the move.

Human NPCs have been tweaked accordingly so now you’ll pretty much be the same speed as them. Along with that, changes have been made to raiders and such in how they maneuver when attacking, strafing and walking.

Creatures such as Deathclaws now move at deadly speeds, while Supermutants now move faster in straight directions due to their sheer size, power, and muscle mass. All other creatures have also been tweaked with careful consideration of sense, realism, and logic.

Have fun!
