Windows 7 Startup Repair Taking Forever

Feb 14, 2012 Hello, I have a week old laptop, that for whatever reason decided to run Startup Repair (Win 7) I have not been able to 'get in' and check what the problem is.Startup Repair is just about to hit 48 hrs running.It seems to be doing its job, as far as I can tell.but does anybody know how long this. Hello, I need some help please!! Computer was running really slow the other day so I decided to restart it. When it booted back up it went to a windows repair screen. I have researched this for hours but no one seems to have my exact problem! :/. It's an acer aspire laptop (64-bit) so I received no boot disk with it. Have tried goin to safe mode but I can't get to the screen with that option. I even gave up and tried alt+F10 to start from scratch but the computer doesn't recognize the command, always goes straight to startup repair screen. Have F2 and F12 options only. Been stuck in that loop for 1.5 days. Power lights flashing. Anyone know of something i could try? Really can't afford another computer right now.
