I am also having the same problem. It was working at first but now for what ever reason my computer just does not recognise the phone at all. The phone charges when it is plugged in to the USB port but that it is. It was originally showing up in the file manager as well but now it doesn't. No settings have been changed on the phone or the computer.

I'm not sure why but when I tried an older cord from a Samsung tablet we have the problem was solved. The new cord works for recharging but does not let the computer recognise the phone. I have tried in other computers and laptops and it is the same story. I'll just use the older cord whenever I need to transfer files. Thanks for your input.

From your posting of almost 4 months ago, I'm not finding any credible solution for a Samsung S6 user to use Windows 10. From what I read, the solution is trial and error - why hasn't a solution been made either a) EASILY found, or b) Pushed through Winows update? I point to MSOFT for a solution in as much as the Win 8.X OS worked just fine before this 'upgrade'. Can we get a straight answer?
