Dying Light Difficulty Levels

A good idea is to start the game on a normal or high difficulty level and leave the Nightmare mode for later.
Dying Light Difficulty Levels

Dying = you lose exp points, you cannot lose levels so no worry there, just make sure not to die if you are about to level. Zombies are harder, they have more hitpoints and do more damage to you. You cannot see virals on your mini map, so you have to listen for their screams to find them. If Dying Light wasn’t challenging enough with its hordes of undead zombies, and parkour-oriented demands, developers Techland have added a new difficulty level ahead of Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition’s release. The new setting is called Nightmare mode, and, yes, it’s a nightmare. The Zombie Wannabe makes the avatar look like a bloodthirsty flesh eater which hits the pleasure spot for me. Getting this Dying Light Outfit is a brain cracking endeavor since you need to finish the game on with a hard difficulty level, a thing not many gamers brace themselves for. You can also purchase as Dying Light DLC Outfit.

The content available in The Following is revealed regardless of the campaign from the basic game - new quests and areas are not added automatically. In order to play Dying Light: The Following, the player has to return to the main menu, choose the expansion from the available options and confirm a new game. It would be wise to do so once you gain enough experience as Kyle Crane, because all the acquired skills and equipment will be transferred to The Following. It is not obligatory (the game requires that you finish the prologue of the basic campaign), but if you start the game with a weak character, you can have major difficulties throughout the gameplay. You should start the game once Kyle reaches level 18-19 and all the skill trees (Power, Agility and Survivor) have been fully upgraded. This will grant him better resistance and make him more effective when it comes to using his parkour abilities. Furthermore, make sure to provide your hero with at least few quality melee weapons and firearms and equipment such as medicaments and a grappling hook.

At the beginning, you will be asked to choose the difficulty level. A good idea is to start the game on a normal or high difficulty level and leave the Nightmare mode for later.

How to unlock: Talk to Jaffar in the safe zone (number 11a on the map).

Difficulty level: medium

Reward: 7500 experience, 1000 dollars

You can start this mission after some time from completing the Steal from a Thief quest and starting The Big Bang Thesis quest. Meet with Jaffar to add this task to your journal. Head to the place when Hanson's group is supposed to be (number 11e on the map). When you're there, listen to a conversation with Jaffar. You have to switch of three generators located in this area. The problem is that there zombies around. Deal with the infected (watch out for Goons and Runners) and be especially careful when approaching a given switch, because you won't have a chance to retreat. Moreover, one of the generators is located behind a closed door and you will have to use a lockpick.

After switching off the power (you will find Hanson's body near one of the generators), you can start climbing the building marked on the map. Do it in the place shown in the picture above. When climbing, you have to grab the bars and jump onto the platforms (remember to always face the platform which you want to jump to). Don't hurry and plan your every move, because falling from such a height will kill you.

After climbing to the roof, you will find a lot of dead bodies. You don't have to examine them - just locate the Recorder on the chair. Listen to the recording and wait until Crane contacts Jaffar. Carefully climb down and return to Jaffar to collect your reward (1000 dollars).
